Terms & Conditions
- Travelers must take care of their luggage and belongings. The management shall not be accountable for missing items along the tour.
- The advance amount is non-refundable under any circumstances.
- Full trip amount once paid is non-refundable.
- Full payment of the trip cost must be made before the trip begins. Pending payments may eventually lead to the cancellation of the trip.
- The IDs will be verified before boarding. No boarding shall be entertained without a valid Govt. ID.
- The transfer of bookings is not permitted. Only the names mentioned at the time of confirmation shall be allowed to travel.
- All travelers must update their status with the trip coordinator(s) and report at the pickup point 1 hour prior to the scheduled departure.
- Drinking and smoking is strictly prohibited in the vehicle and in the tents/stay.
- No act of misconduct or indiscipline shall be tolerated on the tours. We are a friendly travel community and we aspire to bring you a friendly and memorable experience.
- We do not provide any insurance policy to cover expenditure on sickness, accidents, or losses incurred due to theft or other reasons.
- If a trek, trip, and/or activity(s) cannot be completed due to natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like rain, snowfall, earthquake, landslides, strike, bandh, etc.), no refund will be provided.
- The customer will bear any extra expense incurred due to any natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances. The company will not be liable for the expense.
- Numerous factors such as weather and road conditions, the physical ability of participants, etc. may bring alteration to the itinerary. We reserve the right to make necessary changes in the schedule in the interest of safety, comfort, and general well-being.
Terms & Conditions — For Treks
These Terms and Conditions govern participation in the Treks organised by Mountain Bird Bagpackers. By booking and/or participating in the trek, the participant ("Trekker") agrees to be bound by the following terms.
Eligibility and Fitness
Participation in the trek is subject to the Trekker meeting the minimum physical fitness requirements necessary for high-altitude trekking. Mountain Bird Bagpackers reserves the right to refuse participation to any Trekker deemed unfit for the trek.
Age Criteria
Participation is permitted only for individuals within the prescribed age limit as specified by Mountain Bird Bagpackers. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and submit written consent.
Medical Disclosure
All Trekkers are required to truthfully disclose any pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations prior to departure. Failure to disclose accurate medical information may result in removal from the trek without refund.
Safety and Risk Acknowledgment
The Trekker acknowledges that trekking in mountainous and high-altitude terrain involves inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, illness, altitude sickness, weather-related hazards, and accidents.
Itinerary and Schedule Changes
Mountain Bird Bagpackers reserves the right to modify or alter the trek itinerary, schedule, or route due to weather conditions, natural calamities, administrative restrictions, or safety considerations, without prior notice.
Booking and Payment
A booking shall be deemed confirmed only upon receipt of the required advance or full payment as specified. Full payment must be completed prior to the commencement of the trek.
Equipment and Gear Responsibility
Trekkers are responsible for carrying mandatory personal gear as listed by Mountain Bird Bagpackers. Any rental equipment provided must be used responsibly and returned in proper condition.
Conduct and Compliance
Trekkers must comply with all instructions issued by the trek leader, guides, and support staff. The trek leader's decision shall be final in matters concerning safety, discipline, and continuation of the trek.
Environmental Protection
Mountain Bird Bagpackers follows a strict Leave No Trace policy. Littering, environmental damage, or non-compliance with waste disposal guidelines may result in penalties or removal from the trek.
Prohibited Substances
The consumption or possession of alcohol, tobacco products, or illegal substances during the trek is strictly prohibited.
Emergency and Evacuation
In the event of illness or injury, evacuation arrangements shall be facilitated by Mountain Bird Bagpackers where feasible. Any associated costs not explicitly included in the trek package shall be borne by the Trekker.
Insurance
We do not provide any travel, medical, or trek insurance as part of the trek package. It is the client's responsibility to obtain adequate insurance coverage for medical emergencies, accidents, evacuation, or any unforeseen circumstances. Mountain Bird Bagpackers shall not be held liable for any losses, expenses, or claims arising due to the absence of insurance coverage.
Photography and Cultural Sensitivity
Trekkers must respect local customs and traditions. Photography of individuals or private property shall be undertaken only with prior consent.
Limitation of Liability
Mountain Bird Bagpackers shall not be held liable for loss, damage, injury, delay, or inconvenience caused by acts of nature, weather conditions, governmental actions, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Personal Belongings
Mountain Bird Bagpackers is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings during the trek.
Acceptance of Terms
Participation in the trek constitutes full acceptance of this Policy and all decisions made by Mountain Bird Bagpackers and its representatives during the course of the trek.
